.stackat.yml / option
auto_pr
On this page
Turns automatic pull requests on or off. With auto_pr: true, each scan opens a pull request per tool and release that is due.
What it does#
true: Stackat opens a pull request for every tool behind its latest release, bumping every pin of the tool in one commit onstackat/<tool>-<version>. A ready pull request when nothing in the release notes touches your files, a draft with the issue's checklist when something does. See Pull requests.false: issues only. People can still ask for a single pull request by replying/stackpaw pron an issue.- Not set: automatic pull requests stay off.
Pull requests need the Stackpaw app, on the trial or Team. With Stackpaw Audit, or on the free plan, auto_pr: true opens none.
Type and values#
| Type | Boolean |
| Allowed | true or false |
| Default | Off: issues only |
Organisation and repository#
Set in the organisation's file, it applies to every repository. A repository's own auto_pr replaces it, in either direction: an organisation can turn pull requests on and one repository turn them off, or the other way round.
Problems you may see#
.stackat.yml: auto_pr must be true or falseAnything but true or false ("yes", on in quotes, 1) is that problem, and the setting is ignored.
Examples#
Pull requests for every repository#
auto_pr: trueIssues only, pull requests on request#
Change control wants a person to decide each time: keep automatic pull requests off and reply /stackpaw pr when you are ready.
auto_pr: falseOn, with a cooldown#
Pull requests target the same release as the issue, so a cooldown applies to them too.
auto_pr: true
cooldown: 14
